About the Event
A “Circle of Support” is a network of people, including family, friends, and community members, who come together to provide emotional, social, and practical support to an individual. This course provides a step-by-step guide to creating or strengthening these vital support networks, which are crucial for the wellbeing and independence of individuals, particularly those at risk of isolation.
Participants will explore the foundations of Circles of Support and learn how to build or re-establish these relationships through guided activities, storytelling, and case studies. We’ll also discuss common challenges faced when creating support networks and offer practical strategies for overcoming them.
Through examples and discussions, we will think about how we can invite people together to support a person or a family to make changes to
