  • 22nd July, 1-3:30pm: Dive into the history of plastic, take fun quizzes, and learn fascinating facts like how much plastic is in the sea. Understand the differences between thermoplastics and thermosets, participate in a community litter pick, and get a preview of upcoming sessions. We'll even incorporate some maths with quiz numbers and plastic counting!
  • 29th July, 1-3:30pm: Explore the world of hard plastics. Learn about different plastic types and master the art of injection molding to create plant pots, keyrings, earrings, and jewellry. Delve into the specifics like plastic types, weights, melting times, and temperatures.
  • 5th August, 1-3:30pm: Focus on soft plastics and use tools like sheet presses, irons, die cutters, and ovens to create unique items (even shrinking crisp packets!). Learn about plastic sizes, melting times, and temperatures.
  • 12th August, 1-3:30pm: Go beyond recycling to explore the circular economy and green skills. Unleash your creativity with both hard and soft plastics as we wrap up the workshop series with innovative projects and a focus on sustainability.
